Finn Hansel is a multimedia artist based in New York City, specializing in photography and video. His work explores themes of disability, psychology, and fantasy, often inspired by his own experience. Hansel's vision was permanently impaired by Coats Disease in his right eye, which led him to pursue art, with the camera serving as a "replacement" for his lost sight. Through his work, he aims to create immersive worlds and characters, offering viewers a chance to experience an unique and alluring visual narrative. Hansel earned a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design, honing his technical skills. In 2024, he debuted his first photographic series in person at Lubov Gallery. He is also currently working closely with a clothing archivist to create promotional and artistic material in the form of photo and video pieces.
